The Fed is considering a more ambitious target for “full employment”

Fed Weighs More Ambitious Goal for Sweet Spot on Employment

(Bloomberg) — As the U.S. jobless rate reaches the range that the Federal Reserve defines as full employment, some Fed officials are asking a question: How low can you go?

Their answer: less than the 5.2 percent to 5.5 percent the Fed currently defines as the lowest that can be achieved without heating up inflation. Some Chicago Fed economists say this sweet spot, often called full employment or the natural rate of unemployment, may be as low as 5 percent.

Their boss, Chicago Fed President Charles Evans, is among policy makers who have lowered their estimates for the normal rate. “I now think that it might be something more like 5.0 percent,” Evans said in a speech Wednesday.

Where did money go, received from all over the world?

by Dr. Ahmed Makhdoom, Singapore

“Pakistan received $23.4 billion of foreign aid in the last decade.”

Where did this money and other billions of dollars that this country has received from all over the world GO?

Has been spent on schools, education – NO! Has it been spent on alleviating the miseries, deprivations and poverty of millions of poor people – NO! Has the money been spent to provide decent Health Care – certainly, NOT! So, where is the money going?

WB and IMF are gladly dishing out billions to these culprits, thieves, robbers, and leeches who rule this country – just for their own benefits and carrying forward their own nefarious, selfish, self-seeking Agenda!

They show the photographs of Sindh, where there is chronic poverty and desease to beg money from WB and IMF.

Once received this money goes to the security establishment and the ugly animals in the Governments! The photograph shows Sindhi innocent infants, toddlers and children crying for food and milk! Height of Inhumanity! Height of Injustice!

Civilised world should take cognizance of thwart is happening in this country. The Security establishment, the Government and tyrants should be taken to the International Criminal Court and tried for crimes against humanity!

By: Aziz Narejo

It is a general feeling in Sindh that the province has suffered injustices in almost every field since the inception of Pakistan – from the days of the first Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan to the present PPP led coalition government. SAVE SINDH, SAVE KARACHI

by Dr Ali Akbar Dhakan, Karachi

Sindh has suffered more and more due to migration of uncontrolled, unorganized, and unplanned population influx from all over the World. It is all because of the ignorance of the leaders of the Political Parties and ruling class of the time. The result is vary harmful for the indigenous people who are mentally and financially disturbed as all doors of their prosperity, education, commerce, employment etc have been closed. Only the people in power are enjoying and living without any trouble and difficulty but others are very much perplexed and dejected for the future coming time. It is therefore advisable to control over the migration and also establish industrial units not only in the urban areas but in the rural areas throughout the Sindh. All the roads in the Sindh may be selected for industrial units at every tenth Kilometers distance and establish more towns and urban cities at the both sides of all roads throughout the Sindh province so that people should not make abode and create social and economic problems for the local people living in a city. Other suggestions will be gathered from gentry of  Sindh.

Rights of provinces
RESENTMENT grows when citizens of the state are denied the opportunity to benefit from the exploitation of local resources. Withholding this share in the collective pie does not serve the cause of harmony between the federating units as well as the centre and the provinces. Much to our detriment, we have seen how denying the people of Balochistan rightful control over their mineral and gas wealth has, over the decades, led to disaffection with the state and even full-blown insurgencies.
