LAHORE: Former Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) central general secretary Dr Safdar Sarki, who resigned recently, has divided the party and announced a new faction, a private TV channel reported on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club, Sarki said the JSQM had formed a new group Jeay Sindh Tehreek (JST). He said that after the formation of this group the party had been restored to its original structure.
“Today GM Sayed’s party has been restored,” the channel quoted Sarki as saying.
Sarki said JSQM leader Bashir Qureshi had links with the land mafia, which is why the educated members of the party had separated from him, the channel said.
