Development Plans of PPP Government in Sindh in Rs 327 billion estimated budget.

Following are some of the attractive wish list mentioned in Budget speech of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah in his budget speech. The provincial PPP government presented second budget on June 10, 2009. We will see when the year ends, how much is implemented.

· Sindh Bank will be established by next fiscal year · Benazir Women Support Program, costing Rs 4 billion, to provide financial support to poor women folks , called “Cash Grant” · Low-Cost Housing Rs 2 billion for ‘Peoples Housing Program · Sindh Dairy and Development Corporation established with cost of Rs 900 million · 20 thousands new jobs would be created (for population of 45 million) · Three thousand subsidized tractors for farmers · Community Health Management Boards for Hospitals · Nutrition Program for school children · Cash grant program for Women · 75,000 internship programs for youth · Female students to get twice a year stipend of Rs 2400 · Sindh Seed corporation is being restored, Rs 70 million allocated · Agro-export Processing Zone will be restored, Rs 34 million allocated

Focusing Karachi – · Rs 5.6 billion for projects · Rs. 3 billion alone to be spent on Road construction · Rs 500 for Liyari Package. Let us wish good luck to these ambitious plans, and be witness to their promises published in their budget documents and reported in Media.
