The Pashtun Peace Forum and the South Asia Peoples Forum Consultation

PASHTUN REALITIES IN CONTEXT

Mississauga: The Pashtun Peace Forum and the South Asia Peoples Forum have organised the consultation on Sunday, Dec 7, 2008, 2: pm, Mississauga Central Liverary 301 Burnhmthrope West, Ontario, Canada to increase awareness of the realities of the Pashtun situation, with especial focus on the Pakistani Pashtun areas. Over the recent past there has been an increasing interest in that area because of increasing turmoil that also has regional and global implications. However, many of the analyses and reports are based on second hand knowledge and at times somewhat misleading. The purpose of the consultation is to clarify some basic issues regarding Pashtuns, their traditions, and the socio-economic and political underpinnings of the current situation there.
