WASHINGTON, Nov 16: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has asked the government of Pakistan to introduce agriculture tax. Pakistan had promised levying agriculture tax in the past but it didn’t fulfill it’s promise. Now IMF has warned Pakistan that there’s no escape from it.‘If Pakistanis once again fail to impose agriculture tax, this will be the last IMF loan to Pakistan would have, the source said. Opposition in Pakistan criticising the government for seeking the fund from IMF. The opposition in Pakistan says that IMF always imposes harsh restrictions, therefore the common people of Pakistan suffers alot.
