Karachi Stock Market Down As US Blames ISI for Supporting Terror

Karachi, Sindh: Foreign investors and local institutions down on Thursday, as the strong US statements against ISI for its alleged support to Islamic militants. “There has been a series of bad news about US-Pakistan relations in terms of the war against terrorism and Pakistan’s role in controlling militancy”, said Ateeq Ahmed, a trader at Capital One Equities. Afghan President also warned against possible attact inside Pakistan to hit militant strong-holds.

KESC will get Rs.13.8 billion against outgoing fiscal year

KESC will get Rs.13.8 billion against outgoing fiscal year`s Rs.19.59 billion.The subsidy for Trading Corporation of Pakistan (
TCP) on Wheat and Sugar is estimated for Rs.26.6 billion against Rs.46.5 billion for the last year.Utility stores will get subsidy of Rs.27 billion against Rs.1.8 billion for last year subsidies on imported fertilizers like Urea, DAP and Phosphatic fertilizers are estimated to Rs.35 billion where as fuel oil and price differential claim of oil Marketing Comapnies will get Rs.140 billion against Rs.175 billion last year.
