Group says it bombed Quebec Canadian Forces office

TROIS-RIVIERES, QUE.—Though barely noticeable at the corner of two small streets in downtown Trois-Rivières, the military recruitment centre was a powerful symbol for the group claiming responsibility for its bombing.
The group, which calls itself the “Internationalist Resistance,” said in an email sent to Montreal’s La Presse newspaper that it was opposed to “the militaristic practices and ideals of the Canadian state.”
The shadowy group has taken credit for bombings in the past, once in 2004 in an attack on a Hydro-Quebec tower and in 2006 in the explosion of a car belonging to a Quebec executive with the Canadian Petroleum Products Institute. …
