Following is an excerpt from MQM City Nazim’s meeting with Karachi business community. Surprising part is that Musharraf, who was present in the meeting, supported the City Nazim’s views. I am looking for more information about this meeting. However, what Nazim said is eye-opening, to say the least. Here is the news item:

Karachi Nazim Mr Mustufa Kamal made some startling remarks and observations at the businessmen’s dinner in Karachi on Friday night in honour of President Pervez Musharraf. He told the members of the audience that they should not take their money away from Karachi because “if they return after six months or one year the region and its geography may not be the same”. The comments, made in the presence of the president and the governor of Sindh are alarming to say the least. President Musharraf in his speech supported the observations of the nazim and had his own advice for politicians and others…
I am not an expert on this or any other issues. My views on this and other issues are just my personal views and they could be wrong. 
Why is the entire nation so narrow minded in their approach & understanding?
We jump to conclusions based on our own prejudice & bias which is not an appropriate mindset.
Like some have expressed here should there be a doubt about MK to have embezzled any state funds there should be an honest and independent inquiry of that, although this blame game resembles the acts of the past era of Pakistan which is shameful since parties have played these blame games in the past by falsifying blames against those who may belong to other political parties. Enough is enough and if the acts of past has not hurt Pakistan to damaging extent this continued blame game cheap tricks definitely will.
One must acknowledge & recognize the good actions of any official regardless of his/her ethnicity, regional background or any other aspect.
What is wrong with the development of Karachi city? it is a part of Pakistan and we should take pride in our national asset and it’s development.
If we began to take pride in each other and every region of the country Pakistan would be a much better place, the more we drive wedges amongst ourselves the farther and split we become, God forbid if come out as a loser again.
Please fellows love each other with the brotherly affection regardless of your ethnicity, language or regional heritage as Allah SWT showers HIS blessings on those who live in peace and love for each other in a bond that is for the sake of Allah SWT’s pleasure
City mayor belongs .. to terrorist gang. Sometimes, he threatened to send 5,000 dead bodies of Sindhis to Interior Sindh and sometimes he wants Sindhis should fight with Pakhtuns.

I’m not sure for others but I assure i will give my life for my Sindh if any terrorist will try to change the Geography of Motherland .

MQM is the representative party of Karachi the largest Metro in Pakistan, Mustafa Kamal Misspoke he was pointing to the geography of Karachi itself that how it will improve not necessarily Pakistan’s; so why not you guys point your misplaced anger towards wahabi terrorists in NWFP, who have been openly challenging the writ of Pakistani Govt, but wait i know that is not going to happen because all of you are not only haters of worst kind but to top it all are Bigots too. so please do not act like u care, all of you pledge allegiance to your ethnicity & sect, how dare you tell any one else not to do the same.
I have failed to understand why the present P. P leadership take notice of gory happennings in Karachi especially 7 bomb blasts immediately after the venomous speech of Mustafa Kamal. These incidents only lead to the fact that its partner in provincial govermnet is not sincere with the ruly party but has its own axe to grind. Please keep watch on their activities.
I agree with Mr. Sarfraz that Mr. Mustafa Kamal has looted the money of Karachi developments projects with both the hands. Will some one invstigate the quality of roads and bridges he has constructed, whole truth will be revealed.
I am personally witness of constuction of roads. Instead of develpment strong base of stones by applying pressure of buldozers what the city nazim has done is that spread ordinary gravel and on that one layer of tarkul is used. Even one modest shower will ruin all newly constructed roads of Karachi.
I suggest indepedent audit of the accounts of Nazimate of Karachi and also examinatin of roads and bridges through some highly reputed engineers. But before doing it Sindh government must ensure their safety because those who have looted national wealth are use to violance.
MUSTAFA KAML EARNED MORE THAN FIFTY BILLAON FROM THE BUDGET OF RUPESS 109 BILLION GIVEN TO HIM BY SHOUKAT AZIZ FORMER PM FOR CONSTRUCTION OF KARACHI ROADS ,JUST AFTER CHANG OF GOVREMENT HE WANT TO US AND PUT HIS ALL MONEY THERE ,PEOPLE OF SINDH THEREFORE DEMOAND HIS ACCOUNTABAILLTY AND DETERRENT PUNICHMENT SO THAT HIS CONSPIRAPORY ACTIVTEIY SHOULD BE FINISHED .
I was not at all shocked when Mr. Mustafa Kamal was adressing vanomously the business community; speaking not only against the present government but also against the country he is living in. Basically whatever he said was what he sincerely beleives. In public actually he is hyporitially displaying himself as loyal citizen. I hope before the Sindh government and people of city he has been amply exposed
The statement of karachi Nazim Mustafa Kamal is full of venom and filth. Although MQM has claimed that the views expressed by M. K are his own and not parties yet they have to call explanation of Nazim as in an official function where presidnet was also present he can not express his personal view. Being Nazim he is a responsible official and has to account for what filth he has spread.
The venoum sprouted in the speech of Mustafa Kamal Nazim of Karachi against the state of Pakistan and the democratic forces depiects true picture of MQM. This party is creation of evil forces and can only thrive on the blood of those who oppose their tyrany even if belonging to their commnity. Perwez Musharaf is their protega. I think entire civil society has to react to the observation of Mustafa Kamal and Perwez Musharaf at the earnest.
The statement of Nazim for changing the geography of Pakistan shows their true colour. These neferiouis anti Pakistan designs which are now being supported even by Musharaf needs to have been nip into the bub.
The Nazim Karachi represents the Mutahita Qumi Movement. In the meeting he has come out openly that his party does not beleive in the present day bounderies of Pakistan which they intend to change. What made me feel more digusted is that even the President who is considered a symbol of state unity has agreed to the idaes of MQM. Those at the helm of affairs take note MQM’s anti state plicies.
